East Coast wind farms
There is already a significant number of wind farms extending from Margate in the south to the northeast of Scotland, and new developments continue to be added.
Many of these are shown on UKHO charts; however, a considerable number are currently under construction. In such cases, the only indication of their presence may be the relevant Notice to Mariners.
We have made every effort to identify and collate information relating to these new developments.
The details below set out our findings for the area we refer to as the East Coast.
Extension to the Greater Gabbard and Galloper Wind Farms
The existing Greater Gabbard and Galloper Wind Farms are being extended, with construction having commenced in spring 2016. The revised boundaries are shown in the extract from UKHO Chart 2052 reproduced below.
