Auto-activation Android charts: troubleshooting made simple

Most Android charts auto-activate smoothly, but occasional technical snags can occur. We identify common issues and their fixes to get back on course.

Android Auto-Activation Charts

These Android charts are designed to auto-activate, and in general we see very few support issues.

When problems do arise, they usually fall into the categories below which have been reported to us phone calls or support emails:

  • Payment receipts, unlock codes, and download links

  • Installation issues

  • Activation issues

🚩 I’ve paid via the shopping cart but haven’t received the automated email with the download link and unlock codes.

✅ Please check your spam or junk folder first. The automated email is sent immediately after payment.

If you still can’t find it, contact us and we will manually resend the email and confirm that you have received it successfully.

General tip: start fresh

If you have previously used the app or charts:

  • Delete any old chart downloads from your Downloads folder

  • Perform a clean install of the app and charts

Starting fresh avoids most installation and activation problems.

🚩 Do I have enough space available to install the charts?

✅ You need approximately double the download size available as free space during installation.

(Download sizes are shown next to the “Add to Basket” button on the sales page.)

For example:

  • UK/IRL charts require about 2GB of free working space.

  • After installation, you can delete the downloaded files, which will free up about half of that space.

🚩 I can’t load the charts / the app doesn’t see the downloaded charts

✅ The most likely causes are:

  • The full chart set has not been downloaded from the link in your email

  • The download is incomplete or corrupted

Please check:

  1. That the chart file is present in your Downloads folder

  2. That the file size matches the size stated on the sales page

Partial downloads will not be recognised by the app.

Solution: Delete any partial or incorrect downloads and re-download the charts using the link in your email.

🚩 The app is trying to generate an email activation request instead of auto-activating

✅ This usually means one of the following:

  • You are using an old version of the app

  • You are trying to install an old chart set

  • You are mixing an old chart download with the new app

Solution

  1. Completely uninstall the app

  2. Reinstall the current version from the Play Store

    • Version 2.1.14 or higher (the version with AIS demo capability)

  3. Ensure you are using the chart set downloaded from the email link you were sent

In short: Start fresh with the latest app and the correct chart download.
