Dylan gives us a quick tour of the forts built around our coast as a defence against possible French attacks when Palmerston was in power. He then goes on a voyage of discovery of the forts built in the middle of the Medway in those times. We are given a guided tour of these establishments along with a potted history and description of the conditions in them when they were in use.
