West Mersea is the next creek along from Tollesbury and is home to
the West Mersea Yacht Club and the Dabchicks Sailing club. The
video shows the three possible passages in and who moors in them.
We see the remnants of the fishing industry and oyster boats and
then the rest of the video is devoted to boat gazing (and of course
the motor boats he comes cross get a slagging) and finally lots of
shots of dinghy racing. It is here that Dylan is first introduced
to the duck punt under sail and has an inquisitive conversation
with its owner.
