This is a fifteen minute sailing video about the trip from Blakestone Hole to Walton Backwaters. The Slug and its owner have a near perfect day’s sailing (except he doesn’t film the rainy bits!) We get shown Clacton Pier, hear bits about its history and discussion of its tourist attraction. The sighting of a Martello Tower prompts a long history of their origin, design and purpose. There is a car tour of Frinton and its gentility (until recently lacking a fish and chip shop) is gently derided before turning into the Walton channel and thence to Walton Backwater. The video finishes as the Slug sails up the backwater, Dylan looks forward to a new harbour – and more mud!!
