This video opens with a time lapse clip of the Slug being taken out of her berth at Walton and then does it all again in real time. Our hero is forced to do this without engine due to the threat to his propeller of subsurface obstacles. It is lovely to watch as the boat is turned with a combination of warps, paddle and wind, seemingly effortlessly. Like all sailors you’ll enjoy watching a manoeuvre carried out by a skilled sailor without fuss and bother when it can sometimes be akin to watching a bachelor change a duvet cover when done by the less skilled!!
