Dylan returns for a quick look at the entrance to the River
before passing Felixstowe Ferry and the Horse Sand. We then pass up
Sea Reach grumbling at the “motorheads” until
we reach Ramsholt and admire the boats on the moorings before
taking the ground at Ramsholt Quay for an expedition ashore to
Ramsholt Church. Dylan & Jill wander around the interesting
layout of the box pews and Dylan tells us the history of medieval
Round towers of this coast and Ireland as a defence against
marauding Vikings. Then there is footage of how to get on a boat at
Low Water without getting mud all over it – a complex
sequence. The video finishes with people-watching and an
interesting tack up the river to Prettyman’s Point whilst
having a go at big landowners. The Slug anchors here and we watch
the geese flying whilst the sun sets and he & Jill partake of a
sundowner.
